Importers who buy from us ask the same questions every season, so here is what we see from Dubai.
Availability beats price. Fleets pay for the part that is on the shelf; importers who consolidate mixed orders from one supplier turn stock faster than those chasing the cheapest line item in five places.
Japanese makers now sell through distributors, not only through OE channels. Bearings, liners, rings and gaskets from DAIDO, IZUMI, RIKEN and TONYCO reach the aftermarket under the makers’ own names — a rebuild kit from one supplier is now realistic.
Own brands have replaced “no-name” boxes. Buyers ask who tests the part and who stands behind it; brands made to OE dimensions and tested (our MOKCO®, MTE® and MOK Technic®) have taken the middle of the market.
Genuine on order, aftermarket from stock. The practical split: aftermarket for the daily lines from stock, genuine parts sourced to order for the few jobs that need them — on one list, one shipment.
Newer engines arrive faster than parts. Common-rail engines (4HK1, 1KD/2KD, 1GD, ZD30, J08E) are now the volume, and their pumps, sensors and injectors are the lines to stock next.
We will update this note each quarter.
